The author is right.

The googlecheckout doesn’t appear to show in their feed if you include the website URL, even if you have Google Checkout on your website.

Google wants all Checkout buttons on their feeds to go to the Google Base site.

DOes anyone know how to get the googlecheckout button to appear next to your website on the froogle search? I have mine listed under “payement_notes” but I do not see the googlecheckout button showing up at all.

Maybe the difference is that I’m using Google Base hosted pages.

It’s a smart move by the google but; will it have some impact on the ranking?
I mean, is GOOGLE algorithm gonna give a higher SCORE value to the GOOGLE CHECKOUT supported sites?

I tested it with a couple merchants. Maybe there’s something else I’m missing…Google, if you’re lurking, let me know. But the email from Google spells out how they want things done - if you accept Google Checkout on your site, you should put Checkout in the Payment_Notes field, not the payment_accepted field.

Chad, do you accept Checkout on your website or is it just through GBase?

Not true. My items have “GoogleCheckout” in the payment_accepted field and it works fine. Your items either are not “Products” or you probably have a bug in your Checkout account.
